Your new role
  • Policy Management: Develop country level HR policies & guidelines to keep competitiveness and fairness among employees based on the policy by internalizing and translating business strategy to local people process needs & conditions for feasible & sustainable solutions, and by referring with practices in foreign capital manufacturer in Japan.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risk in areas of HR & administration management. Implement processes or policies to get rid of the risks. Monitor key HR metrics.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a consultant to employees regarding policies and procedures. Handle employee compliant and provide a consulting.
  • Engagement: Coaching/advising local leaders to drive engagement with their teams. Enable them to develop effective action plans.
  • Learning: Coaching/advising Plan country level training for employees based on PPG guide and/or Japanese managers or employee needs. Coordinate training activities or deliver training. Maintain and update training records. Manage vendors and handle a fee payout to them.
  • Hiring: Ensure the mid-term recruiting strategy. Assist managers for right job matchings for open positions when they receive approvals.
  • Workforce Management: Manage contractors such as a contractor performance review, contract renewal, etc. Support managers for employee promotion based on PPG guide. Manage employees request for paid/unpaid time-off. Record/track/monitor employee working hours and time-off for healthy workplace discipline. Maintain and update employee personnel files.
  • Payroll: Collect raw data (e.g. overtime working hours/allowance) to run monthly payroll from employees. Manage monthly payout process and annual tax reconciliation by working with a shared service partners and payroll outsourcing company. Handle monthly payroll accounting. Manage a vendor and handle a fee payout.
  • Compensation: Support annual salary review and ad-hoc off-cycle salary review based on PPG guide. Plan labor cost based on the headcount plan to reflect it to business plan during annual business planning period.
  • Employee Benefits: Manage local employee benefits programs.
  • Performance: Support a performance management process from goal setting to performance level calibration on PPG guide. Monitor a progress to take necessary follow-up actions.
