F&B Manager (Sales and Business Planning)

Salary ~ 11M JPY base + performance bonus | 3 headcount for top trading/f&B company | based in the Tokyo HQ

Their products are sold across the country: from Hokkaido to Kyushu, packed with goodness from the manufacturers/suppliers in the one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. This company has a strong market share, reputation, and relationship with their clients, making them one of the specialised/preferred suppliers to some.

Your new role
Based in the Tokyo HQ, you will be responsible to monitor sales performance whilst managing a team of salespersons across the countries from Hokkaido to Kyushu.

Business Manager
- Sales management: planning, budgeting, and executing sales strategies
- Import products pricing (P&L)
- Knowledge of European food and beverage; of nutrition and food science preferred
- Managing team
- Communicating with suppliers on a regular basis
- Strong communication skills: Native Japanese, business level English mandatory

Division Sales Manager: Retail
Proven sales track records from food and beverage background
- Selling and developing GTM strategy
- Managing relationships with the wholesale market/connection (e.g., Mitsubishi Shokuhin)
- Managing retail team division: supermarkets, drugstores (e.g., National Azabu, LIFE, Kinokuniya)
- Understanding of each product lines' USP
- Negotiating and communicating with wholesale/retails: quoting, shelving management, pricing, etc.

Regional Manager
Proven sales track records from food background: cheese, raw material
- Selling and developing GTM strategy
- Managing relationships with the bakery/confectionery manufacturers (e.g., Yamazaki, Takagi, Izuka)
- Managing a team of salespersons
- Understanding of each product lines' USP
- Negotiating and communicating with wholesale/retails: quoting, shelving management, pricing, etc.

What you'll need to succeed
Extensive sales experience to named accounts with background in FMCG/F&B is mandatory along with:
- Strong working experience/connection with related vendors such as: Retail Supermarkets, Drugstores, Bakery, Confectionery with proven track records
- Strong working experience/connection with major trading companies with track records
- Sales management experience: P&L, planing, budgeting, and executing GTM strategies of import products
- Passion and strong interest in European F&B products (and being able to explain why).
