COST ACCOUNTANT Location : Geino, Japan Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monthly close and preparation of accounting reports for Japan entity mainly in areas that covers inventory control and costing.
• Preferably familiar with Oracle general accounting and Oracle cost accounting systems.
• Performs inventory reconciliation and maintain standard cost.
• Ensure proper inventory master setup and resolve error generated from costing run.
• Analyze and explain production variances, purchasing variances and revaluation variances.
• Work closely with operations to review margins, write offs, variances and inventory turns.
• Support management in monitoring of spending against budget through monthly cost center reporting and analysis.
• Provide Clerical Support on Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 project by participating in planned audits of processes, documentation of procedures monitoring activities as needed.
• Supports other departments during budget process by being the focal point between other departments and FP&A.
• Report to Regional Controller for B/S and P&L variance analysis for cost and inventory related accounts.
• Supports Regional Controller for external audit and internal audit for the responsible areas.
• Participate in cost budget improvement project and other projects to improve costing process.

Requirements:

• B.A. college degree for accounting or finance, preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting.
• Costing and inventory accounting experience preferred.
• High level of speaking and writing English capability.
• Analytical, problem solving and excel skills.
• Uses professional concept and applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
• Possess initiative, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Experience working with major ERP system (Oracle, SAP) is preferable.
• Enthusiastic personality with a keen eagerness to learn.
