Your new company
The company is an operator of a subscription video distribution service launched in South Korea in 2016, providing many users with content, including exclusive distribution, such as movies and dramas that are popular both domestically and internationally. In addition to its attractive lineup of titles, the company features an AI-based recommendation function. The more users rate a movie, the more accurate the recommendation function becomes, delivering a better viewing experience.

Your new role

■ Mission
Reporting directly to the Vice President, this position is responsible for content acquisition for video distribution services, with a particular focus on Korean movies and dramas.
Negotiate and acquire distribution rights with domestic and international content folders to increase viewer numbers, viewing time, and service continuity.
Since the company is currently operated by a small number of people, the position may involve a wide range of work, not limited to the above duties, including operations and other general content-related tasks.

■Contents of work
Acquisition of video content in Japan and overseas (selection, negotiation, and contracting of productions), especially for Korean and Asian productions
Develop new video (film and drama) content providers
Research and organization of information related to content, including works for which distribution rights have been acquired or will be acquired
Develop plans to use content for which distribution rights have been acquired to increase viewership, viewing time, and service continuity. Implement approaches from various angles such as curation, email, events, etc. while tracking numbers

What you'll need to succeed
At least 3 years of experience in domestic and international video content acquisition (selection, negotiation, and contracting), especially in Korea and (non-Japanese) Asia.
Experience in researching and managing information on movies and other video content
General knowledge of Korean productions as well as movies and other video content
Experience with a passion and dedication to bringing video content to the world

[Japanese] Native level
[English or Korean] Business level (ability to hold meetings, negotiate, read and understand contracts, and negotiate with business partners) / English is preferred.

・Welcome experience and skills
Experience in improving the number of viewers, viewing time, service continuity, etc. while planning with video content
Experience working with movies and other videos at a distribution company
Experience in distribution-related work such as film distribution sales and publicity
Experience in production of movies and other videos

What you'll get in return
Annual income: 4.5-8 million yen (negotiable depending on experience and skills)
Various allowances: transportation (up to 40,000 yen/month), housing allowance (up to 25,000 yen/month), business trip allowance (up to 3,000 yen/day)

Half and half holiday system (paid holidays can be taken in increments of 0.25 and 0.5 days, respectively)
