International OTA business that focuses on inbound trip in Japan under COVID19 outbreak
Your new company
This company operates several reservation platforms specializing in optional tours & activities.
It is an OTA business with a strong international flavour that follows more than 550 cities in 92 countries around the world and offers multilingual support. As its Japanese subsidiary, they are preparing for the day when people will be able to travel freely, and this recruitment is part of that preparation. We are looking for the first Business Development Manager for the Japan office.
Your new role
As a start-up member of a new sales organization, you will gain a wide range of experience with discretionary authority and be entrusted with managerial duties of a travel booking website as a leader of a sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing new markets in Japan
- Sales proposals for platform implementation solutions to new customers
- Analysis based on data such as sales/user usage and external market environment
- Propose service operation methods and promotions
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and internal marketing, support, and operations teams.
What you'll need to succeed
You MUST have
・At least 3 years of experience in sales of services for toC
・Experience in new customer development (alliance work is preferred)
・Experience as a playing manager
・Track record of sales, KPI, etc.
・Experience in managing 5 or more people
・Native level of Japanese
GOOD to have:
Sales experience in the tourism industry
Experience in negotiations with local governments and tourism agencies
Experience in alliance/partnership sales
What you'll get in return
Annual salary: 8.5 to 10 million yen
